All visits usually happen in the summer, prior to harvest and when the weather is warmer. If you are a teacher or represent a school or organisation please do get in touch.

We work with local schools to get children into the outdoors, discovering nature and learning where their food comes from.

In conjunction with our association with Openfield and Warburton, we participate in the Country Trust’s programme of school visits which provides an outstanding opportunity to educate the next generation about food, farming and the environment.

In 2019 we welcomed a group of Year 4 children from a local school. The children had been undertaking a project on renewable energy, so they were able to see all aspects of renewables here on the Estate, as well as focussing on the crops (especially the milling wheat that we grow for Openfield).
